The evaluation of the canopy in orchard cultivation is a key aspect for main techniques, such as pruning, thinning, harvesting, production and improved fruit quality. possibility having periodic screening state development vegetation can be practical support to growers. Research on application precision agriculture has provided tools reading interpreting crops, resulting information potentially useful. Many systems under study provide after monitoring processing that reduce timeliness intervention. Especially intensive olive groves, knowing precise intervention points often essential. In present work, multi-parameter instrument was used field agricultural tractor analyse canopy. system allows measuring various indicators height density temperature humidity ambient air at leaf level. first data made it possible identify areas with greater vegetative concentration or lesser development. good approximation homogeneous areas, based Canopy Index (CI) subjected subsequent specific management efforts, dividing them into low, ordinary, high growth. results highlight directly combining operators able intervene same passage, selecting differences growth, typical varietal specificities, deficient are affected by plant diseases, confirming objective defining require different workload techniques.
